Tethered
Don’t ask
what’s wrong
why I grimace.
Let me be.
Don’t comment
that I look hot
seem bored.
Stop crowding me.
Don’t question
my voice tone
night time tears.
I’m fine, alright.
Don’t tell me
I walk “odd”
sound crazy.
Hush. Go away.
Don’t notice
I have on make-up
or don’t.
I need to breathe.
Don’t tell me
to change my top
or pants.
Stop staring at me.
Don’t check
on me twenty times
every day.
Hang up the phone.
I know
you love me
can't live without me.
So, you keep me chained.
