The forsaken
There he is, in the sky
So distant and yet he holds the key of life
There he is, in his thrown so up high
When will he come down and draw the line
All in his name
I surrendered my spirit
All in his name
I surrendered my sin
All for the glory of his place
I gave up upon my desires
I'm here before his face
He seem to have forsaken me
I'm here in his Paradise
And he seem to have forgotten his promise
A promise that one day he'll deliver me
Why is it your glory I cannot find?
Why is it your heaven is not mine?
Why is it, salvation I cannot find?
Why is it, redemption isn't yet mine?
Have you forsaken me in this life?
Have you forgotten me in your eyes?
Have I brought blasphemy to your name?
Is this the reason you haven't prepared me my place?
All in your name
I surrendered my spirit
All in your name
I surrendered my sin
And all you did was to forsake me
There you're in the sky
There you're so up high
And here I'm, asking myself why am I the forsaken?
So distant and yet he holds the key of life
There he is, in his thrown so up high
When will he come down and draw the line
All in his name
I surrendered my spirit
All in his name
I surrendered my sin
All for the glory of his place
I gave up upon my desires
I'm here before his face
He seem to have forsaken me
I'm here in his Paradise
And he seem to have forgotten his promise
A promise that one day he'll deliver me
Why is it your glory I cannot find?
Why is it your heaven is not mine?
Why is it, salvation I cannot find?
Why is it, redemption isn't yet mine?
Have you forsaken me in this life?
Have you forgotten me in your eyes?
Have I brought blasphemy to your name?
Is this the reason you haven't prepared me my place?
All in your name
I surrendered my spirit
All in your name
I surrendered my sin
And all you did was to forsake me
There you're in the sky
There you're so up high
And here I'm, asking myself why am I the forsaken?
