Someone I never had
Dad
Where did you go?
I thought you were suppose to be there
For support
To teach me sports
To protect me
I thought you were suppose to stand by me
Help guide me through life
But no you were to busy
Trying to figure out your next drink
Beer?
Grey goose martini?
Scotch?
Rum?
Trying to figure out what your next high was going to be
Pills?
Marajuana?
Coke?
You were asking your self these questions
While I was sitting in my room
My eyes swelling because all the tears
My heart filled with pain
Wondering where my dad was
The man I thought you were going to be
I thought you would be someone
Who I would always have
But I guess I was wrong
You are someone I never had
Where did you go?
I thought you were suppose to be there
For support
To teach me sports
To protect me
I thought you were suppose to stand by me
Help guide me through life
But no you were to busy
Trying to figure out your next drink
Beer?
Grey goose martini?
Scotch?
Rum?
Trying to figure out what your next high was going to be
Pills?
Marajuana?
Coke?
You were asking your self these questions
While I was sitting in my room
My eyes swelling because all the tears
My heart filled with pain
Wondering where my dad was
The man I thought you were going to be
I thought you would be someone
Who I would always have
But I guess I was wrong
You are someone I never had
