Monster
I had a heart beating
bloody and fresh in my hand
its warmth fueled me
and i was a glutton for pain
I wanted more than you could withstand
and so I looked to you
your face was frozen in a kind of fear
I never knew i could spawn
your tears came as release
and i squeezed life between my fingers
for power was all i ever wanted
nothing else managed to please
They screamed, "monster!"
and ran away from me
they screamed, "imposter!"
like anything mattered to me
I only laughed
as I crushed your heart in my hand
I had a soul waiting in its glass confines
I kept it for years and fed it everything
and it meant everything to me
your heart bled so it could feed
your pain fueled me
and filled the hollows of my chest
They screamed, "monster!"
yet this isn't even the worst of me
bloody and fresh in my hand
its warmth fueled me
and i was a glutton for pain
I wanted more than you could withstand
and so I looked to you
your face was frozen in a kind of fear
I never knew i could spawn
your tears came as release
and i squeezed life between my fingers
for power was all i ever wanted
nothing else managed to please
They screamed, "monster!"
and ran away from me
they screamed, "imposter!"
like anything mattered to me
I only laughed
as I crushed your heart in my hand
I had a soul waiting in its glass confines
I kept it for years and fed it everything
and it meant everything to me
your heart bled so it could feed
your pain fueled me
and filled the hollows of my chest
They screamed, "monster!"
yet this isn't even the worst of me
