the dead and the dying
to whom are we lying
we're either dead
or the dying
in between
there is none
save for the ones
who do poetry
for it gives them the illusion
they're flying
though they'd only be seen
as they flew
after they progress
to the dead
from the dying

just an observation dear friend.. and

to your insight and keen eye!

what else are we
'cept one of the two-
either dead
or the dying
and also that's been the story
or so it appears to me
most of the great poets we know
were recognized only
after the world had lost them
or
in other words..as some observers say(not this cold soul though)
they were well ahead of their time.
same story
again and again.
