Becoming Worthy
As I shed my old skin
It peels back off of me
showing all the shameful regretable sins I've made over the years
In disgust they look at me exposed
exposed for who I am
My eyes closed and head held low
embarrased almost regreting leaving the comfort I was in
till I remember
only through true confession, through raw exposure
will I reach my goals
the remembered thought forces my eyes open and held held high
my track record is nothing to be proud of
but plans to break the redundant foolishness makes me stronger
who I have plans to be is shown on my new skin
you see I've changed my ways
I dont look muddy cause no more do I go down to the swamp to hangout
complexion radiant from a great diet
I see you looking, wondering how I went from nothing to something
well, I've learned to led by example
so I'll tell you how I did it
the Love of God
drew me hard
to change my ways
oh, praise the Lord
It peels back off of me
showing all the shameful regretable sins I've made over the years
In disgust they look at me exposed
exposed for who I am
My eyes closed and head held low
embarrased almost regreting leaving the comfort I was in
till I remember
only through true confession, through raw exposure
will I reach my goals
the remembered thought forces my eyes open and held held high
my track record is nothing to be proud of
but plans to break the redundant foolishness makes me stronger

complexion radiant from a great diet
