You're Toxic..Still I Love
The fact is... You would never love me if I could be so bold. If I could look you in the eyes and tell the lies you told. The would be no us at all. This home would be so cold. There would no lips to kiss. No hands to hold.
The fact is... You would have walked in the opposite direction, if I displayed your lack of affection. If I imitated your mocking correction. I stare with emptiness at my reflection. No love, it shows in my skin complexion.
The fact is...you would not stick around if I had affairs and lovers all over town. If I had another man loving me down.But YOU let different women try on my crown.... You're pushing us deeper and deeper underground.
The fact is... You've never acknowledged the truth, that you're incapable of reciprocation. You give in too easily to temptation. You bask in incompleteness and complication. You find humor in my anger and frustration. You take pride in my confusion and aggravation. You find no joy in my company or conversation. You make no time for anything but penetration.
But oh.... I'll be fine in this life of the bitter and complacent.

This is something I've been thru before, and something alot of women go thru. They stay,even after being treated so horribly. But this isn't my relationship. I'm just speaking on the issue itself.

Got it...like you say.....a lot of women go through it. I did when I was young and didn't know any better...eventually I too had to ask myself: "Why am I with this guy?"

i love how poetry gives one the ability to tell someone else's story as if it were their own..beautiful write by the way, though the motivation is not a good one
