A Cutter's Fascination
I cut myself
so I could bleed out my feelings
and capture them in a jar
then gaze in living color
at the pain plaguing me
they swirled and danced
seemingly alive
appears they didn't need my heart
to take breath on their own
I smeared it on the walls
it shouted its rage to the world
not understanding its role
it screamed violent red
then I let drops of it fall to my bed
it kissed the ivory
adding so much passion
to the cold place that I lie
missing the warm embrace of a lover
always dreaming of something better
finally I painted my body
it spoke of its deadly mission
on your dead lifeless corpse
they will find our final message
masturbating out my lusts
in crimson I died for my passion
suicide committed
my fascination with death
finally realized
Author's Note

Poetically speaking, this is an incredible visual journey through the thoughts and emotions of last moments of life, beautiful Dark Angel. You've made the moment somehow sensual and beautiful, despite the finality of the act. I'm not sure many could do what you've done here as beautifully. The relationship between death and beauty...that's a tricky blade to walk along. And you've done it so perfectly. From a personal perspective, it gives me chills to even contemplate you in such a place. Life without you in it...no thank you, beautiful. I love you

thank you beautiful Willow
for seeing the sensual beauty here
yes just as there is in sex
there is a great release in the letting of blood
and then the finale of crossing to the next life..
it is indeed a climax..
deep breathe i'm in no hurry beautiful :)
I know there is much I need to accomplish on the journey here before i'm ready for there..
I love you..

Glad to hear it dear Crimsin
To take different genre's and write them so eloquently as you do take much skill
And you indeed skillful in the art of writing

Wow! This is a look into something that happens all the time that many brush off as nothing. Your words are haunting. Absolutely beautiful.
It’s funny because I write a lot
So much more than ends up here partly because I am VERY hard on myself and partly because ideas arrive and I literally forget.
A few months ago I wrote about this sort of thing but I don’t know if I forgot or was scared to post it. I also am not suicidal but it could easily come across as different.
But I absolutely loved this.
GREAT JOB!!

thank you Ken this is a voice that lurks inside me daring me to do such things but I refuse to..
instead I bring it to light here at the underground and for a moment it purges me of these demons..
when you feel the time is right you will do the same with such ideas..

Blood is the ink we use to tell our stories
until too much is said and that ink
can't sustain the author
any longer. Please
write slowly

Re. A Cutter's Fascination
Fascination with death is a need to know basis ;
Yet cutting is a release some have used to release pain
and emotional trauma , which can overtake one if they
become disconnected from their inner light ;
Death then seems like a portal out , a way of levitating
out of the physical world , half in half out , living in a dark
dream , which is more inviting than where they live "here" ;
The whole generation influenced heavily by Trent Razor ,
Marilyn Manson , and others of the late 80's - 90's , the
cult of pain , punk , and emo , the fashion of zombification ,
was as well an entering into the domain of the dark goddess
and her realm , where you must face yourself in her dark
mirror and see your light , within that darkness ;
This used to be a ritualized process in older , tribal cultures ,
and as we in "modern times" have become divorced , and
purposefully removed from these ancient practices , by
culture and religion , the mental imbalance created by those
actions has created a longing for some new rituals to take
their place ; I was buried under the ground overnight , with
a straw to breathe through...the fear of death overtakes the
desire of death , and one's subconscious awakens , including
psychic powers , part of our ancient survival programs...
The art of cutting , is a weaker version of some of these ancient
methods ; it has been said blood sacrifice is the same as emotions ;
I believe K.Flay says this very well in music , as you did here , Crim ;
Very well done , powerful , purging...
Remember :
The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword...or razor...
Face yourself and the Dark Goddess , through
another form of ritual , or the cycle can continue...
To deny it makes it stronger : To find another way , changes the program !
Love to You !

Just another in the big picture who has paid
enough dues to see the some things others
have not , and the same vice versa...
Many are those who have been my teachers !
Piercing , Self Mutilation , and Body Modification ,
are some of the remnants we are left with today ,
that when done in a *very carefully* supervised
arena and atmosphere , can serve to allow one to
enter trance states , which is another reason for cutting ;
Cutting itself may have it's functions , yet like any drug ,
or mind / body / spirit alteration , if one has a tendency
toward losing control , it is best to be "avoided"...
Best to you , Crim !
