Zenith

I fear your distant gaze
As I caress myself
With my silent words
As they creep
Over and through me
Desiring bareness
I discard the
Unnatural coverings
And rub deeply
Against my incapacity
Parting my lips
But not allowing a sound
So I do not break
Focus on inmost feelings
Yet my wandering eyes
Hover around the surface,
And you should know best of all,
That if your sight lies outward
You can only emerge
Shallow and callow
Let me close my eyes
And sink
And think
With staggered breath
Convulsing in my own depth
Perspiring emotion

Clench your eyes closed
Darling
For only I can see the beauty
In this wretchedness.
