You write such passionate, beautiful poetry. This makes me think of trees at the tail end of fall. They've shed all their leaves and are so vulnerable and naked to the upcoming elements. And then winter falls and freezes everything. Ice covers the branches and it becomes a crystal encased being, all sparkly and stark. And when the ice fades and the tears fall from the sky, the tree blossoms and brings forth beautiful leaves. Love feels like late fall to me at times. Naked, vulnerable and open to the cold to come. You are a beautiful tree, and will grow tall and strong, adding more rings to the beauty of your being. I have full faith in your resilience, Sweet one :-)

Thank you for the comments. Winter truly brings out the parts of me that aren't as illuminating and vigorously energized as my Summer self.

It's heading towards Spring here now!!! So you can imagine how grateful I am. It was the worst winter this year.

As we in Britain move into autumn (fall in US) this could help people who dread winter and its downsides to find reasons to enjoy or see beauty in it. I also warmed (so to speak) to FromTheAsh's comment, could see how this poem could be allegory for love or its lack.

Where I am, we are slow-dancing right into the Spring season :) So my heart is stirring from it's slumber. It's been quite a winter!
Yes, Ash's comments truly made me think and feel. So apt.
Thank you so much for your thoughts x
