Looking at an empty sky
An endless flood of tears is written in his eyes.
Every fleeting moment, slowly running out things to do to wind down the time
His compass pointing him six feet deep
The cut in his heart never seems to stop to bleed
He tried everything for her but she was tied to a bottle and the street
He tried to reach out to her, but there's no cure to her disease
There she comes, stumbling on her way
She's Just as drunk as yesterday
A bottle in her hand won't wash down her pain of everyday
But who's to blame her,
she was the only witness to the crime committed against her
Coming home one night carrying her first born
Six men approached her at the deep of dawn
She was held at gun point and dragged into the woods
They all raped her, digging into her a deep infectious wound
They didn't spare the child, they shot him and they disappeared in the woods
There's blame in her eyes thinking if she had the power, the things she could undo
She's now HIV positive, she can never bare children again
The doctors said there's nothing else they could do
The screams of the son, ashed in her mind her life will never be the same
She wakes every night to dream of the life she'll never have again
He stays awake at night to the memories of his one year six months son he'll never hold again
She's stumbling home drunk
He's looking at the sky from the back of the to truck
She's drinking away the money from the educational trust
All he just asks for is another moment with his son
She has given up all hope in this life
He's loading his gun full of his goodbyes
They're running on a different course but both close to the finish line
Their bed has gone cold they both have lost the desire
They're expects in the art of misery
