Truly Missed

On this Mother's Day weekend you're heavy on my mind
So I've decided to scribe a few more poetic lines
I saw a video posted of you and I almost boo hooed
It's true Granny and I oh so dearly miss seeing you

Four years have passed so I'm not as sad
But I'd be lying if I said it doesn't hurt bad
I'm still mad that GOD chose to take you
My solace is knowing your pain is through

I constantly talk to your spirit knowing that you hear it
I realize I'm fortunate to have been blessed with such a precious gift
Trying times are trying to rob me blind of my peace
And you were the one I'd run to in times like these

Now you're free of the burdens of this crazy world
I thank you for helping me find my priceless Pearl
I take hold of it daily to help me keep my strength
Happy Mother's Day Granny! You're truly missed
