"Not What You Think"

Perhaps I truly do not understand. I attempt to be but an observer, a fly on the wall if you prefer.
I really don’t like that reference though, I would rather be a rock in the garden, or a speck of dust floating by. I’m going to go with speck of dust floating.
So again, I attempt to be the floating speck of dust drifting about, and observe. Sometimes wearing a grin, others a look of wide eyed, ‘Oh damn I can’t believe you just did that.’
However, most of the time I gaze upon my eccentrically colored pale yellowish walls thinking to myself, why? Whys scattered about within the this, thats and whys of others.
To tell the truth, that questionable void of identity colored wall is not my only focus; the passenger seat of my also ridiculously colored green tattered leather love seat’s passenger compartment (obviously not where I’m sitting) receives some attention too.
Whichever uninspiring gaze that I have chosen for the moment, I likely am in a contemplative state.
Usually I realize the unpleasantries of wall or seat, and revert back to my calming black keyboard with nice little white symbols all throughout.
In these deep gazes, where I am wondering about what my next few words are going to be, what to say on the phone, or just good old Plato style wondering, I come across some hopefully enlightening, or entertaining shit things to say.
