Yoga 2
I had just come from my final,
Skin cancer check,
It was Perfect.
I was euphoric.
I was in the coffee shop,
Down the way,
From the medical office --
Where I had had coffee,
After my previous,
Laser treatment.
Not many people,
There,
This time.
Half finished,
With my coffee,
She came in.
Got her coffee,
Started to sit at a table,
Across from me.
Saw me,
Smiled,
Without asking,
Sat down,
Said,
"You seem happy."
I told her,
The news.
She smiled,
Nodded,
Said,
"Great news."
And,
Ask,
"Still like the,
Downward Facing Dog?"
I sipped at my coffee,
Nodded.
She smiled,
Said,
"I have another pose,
I think you might like,
Every bit as much --
If you're interested."
I,
Frankly,
Grinned,
In response.
She laughed,
Not a giggle,
An outright,
Laugh,
Said,
"All right then,
Bring your coffee,
Across to the studio."
In the same room,
As before,
She looked at me,
Said,
"This one,
Is for you to do
Strip,
I'll work you into it."
As I stripped,
So did she.
Watching her wiggle,
Out of her yoga pants,
While stripping myself,
Had already,
Begun,
To arouse me,
Enough,
That stripped,
I stuck,
Straight out,
She saw it,
And,
Again laughed --
She laughed,
Straight out,
At the sight,
Of me.
She sat me down,
On the mat,
Told me to lie back;
Had me place,
The soles of my feet,
Together,
Pull them toward my groin,
Spread my knees,
As wide as I could,
Opening my hips.
I think I surprised her,
Just how wide,
I spread them,
And,
How close to my groin,
My feet were.
(In the past month,
Since our first meeting,
I had joined a hot yoga studio,
And had been working --
Very seriously working,
On my flexibility.)
The outside edges of my feet,
Were on the mat,
They were pulled,
Within a foot of my groin,
My hips were on the mat,
My shoulders were on the mat,
My knees were kind of close to the floor,
My back was also, kind of close to the mat.
(I'm not yet flexible enough,
To lay my knees back flat onto the mat,
Or keep the full length of my back,
In contact with the mat.)
She said,
"This is called,
A Supine Bound Angle."
I smiled,
As I brought,
My arms above my head,
Laying them on the floor,
Lacing my fingers together,
Finishing my approximation,
Of the pose,
And,
Said,
"I know."
Again she laughed.
She steep over me,
Straddling me,
And,
As she lowered herself,
Down to me,
said,
"I think,
You will like this pose,
Every bit,
As much as,
The Downward Facing Dog.
