A Blessing In Disguise
Some Say A Challenge Is A Blessing In Disguise ,
Yet How Much A Blessing , When Something Else Dies ?
When Due To Said Circumstance Life Rearranges ,
And It Is All One Can Do , To Keep Up With The Changes ,
And The Head Meets The Wall , A Wail Greets The Night ,
There Is The Dark Tunnel , But Where Is The Light ?
And Once You've Been There , Yet Going There Again ,
You Learn That Darkness , Can Be A Great Friend ,
And Silence Is The Music , Alone Only You Can Hear ,
And The Was That Is To Be , Is Nothing Need To Fear ,
And The Smile Emerges From The Blank Stare ,
For All The While , There Is Just Reason To Care ,
And The Caring Is The Daring , In Everyday Strife ,
Where Enduring , Becomes The Curing , Through
Creating Your Life...

True , LilDragonfly...
Perhaps I should have put this in Author's Notes ,
but I wanted each person to hear what they could ,
or needed to , out of this :
I went through two periods of my life , where schizophrenia
took it's toll...the second I could tell what was happening , as
I had already experienced it , and thus the "darkness" was not
as severe , and I knew it was a process of mental , and psychic
rearrangement : and "this too would pass"...
And Jim Morrison said it well "Music Is Your Only Friend" ;
When you are in that state , sometimes silence is the greatest healer ,
coming to terms with yourself , closed off from the world , and you
alone can hear the music in your head...and it can remind you :
It's Going To Be Okay...Just Ride It Out , And Surf The Waves...
You are your own "Big Kahuna"...been 24 years , since I went through
that second episode , due to a relationship of years falling apart , as
well my business at the same time , and other random stresses...
So now , I am a Blackwolf , Thrice Born ( aka Hermes )...;)

I am sorry your friend passed that way ,
yet if I have brought any good memory
of them to your consciousness and soul ,
for that I am grateful...
I am sure you were ( and still are ) a wonderful
friend to them and their memory !

I don't know which moved me ever so closer to tear your poem or the conversation of comments. My thoughts have slowed my breathing steady heavy with stillness. Blackwolf, this, this is utterly exquisite, the power the tone a statement of cold hard fact of what is is the rock steady of acceptance. Mighty fine of write beautifully expressed and yes I hear the you, you really are. I love your various tones, the different levels of depth, even emotional difference

Your spoken word is one solid rhythm of tone, I understand that, yet your words tone is varying of who writes the poem. Blackwolf this weeps rawness I find great strength, great power and the utmost deepest of depth, in that inspiration beyond the moon and back. I am truth of sorry this poem is deeply affecting me and I can't say why. I'm going to take my leave I am truth of sorry never meant nor expected a poem to move me so

We *all* have our traumas , that sometimes have a cycle of return ;
That obviously means we have not fully learned what we need to
from that event , no matter how painful...yet it is how we deal with it ,
whether the first time , or in the repetition , that makes the difference ;
That is the "blessing in disguise"...
When I write , I write from the soul , and if that is what you feel ,
then I am grateful...Yet , as our poet here on DUP , Jade would say ,
do not rest on the laurels , yet go further...so I shall go from being
merely a beginner , to pursuing the goal of touching more souls with
my words , until such time is the end of my time in *this* form...
And then continuing in whatever form is next...
*That* is the best , I believe , any of us can do !
