Four Rows Back

The orchestra played so beautifully
Just as you picked up my hand
We sat four rows back and the curtain went up
Nothing mattered except you and me.

The music and the actors were exquisite
But it was your heart of love
That I longed to hear
The story was told and we laughed as we sit.

Four rows back you held my hand
So loving and so natural
We bonded and we whispered
I was your woman and you were my man.

The love that we shared that night
Was so meaningful and true
As we sat in the dark and held hands
The songs, the dresses, the colors in front of us were a beautiful sight.

The orchestra continued with each line
The instruments made a harmonious sound
But it was you that made that night so special
Sitting beside me,  loving me four rows back with your hand in mine.
