what is it
that
when you're around
everything becomes meaningful
and
meaningless
at the same time
when you're around
even the scariest masks you put on
evoke the deepest of joys
for what the eye sees
becomes irrelevant
as the heart becomes the single
source of all the senses
the sight the touch the smell
the taste
and more
and they say
that is a case
of mind over matter
how stupid
can't you see
it is a case
of heart over matter
not the mind
for the mind surrenders
all responsibilty
to the heart
when you're around
when you're around
nothing else matters
and
desolation
is an entire universe away
and when you're not around
it somehow
becomes everything
and everything
becomes it
i don't know the answer
to this why
the same everything
is
not the same
anymore
when you're around

A beautiful tribute to one that makes life more bearable
and brings sunshine through the darkest clouds.
And the why.......we will never know, for the heart is incapable
of thought, and the mind, unable to feel, but the soul knows,
for it is the part that holds the key to both.

an honor - getting such a poem as a review dear Friend Teri!!

as fellow inkers, i believe we all do the same i.e. oblige and take the pen when the poem dictates itself. same is the case here, about missing dear friends, across the life- the feeling felt, of desolation when they're not around. the special ones- whom we only see through the eyes of the heart and oblivious to what the world thinks or sees or doesn't see in them. And that's the reason, doesn't matter what phase of life they're going through or how they project themselves due to the times, we know who and what they are, hence everything else becomes irrelevant.
for example- few friends put some grotesque yet artistic avatars for some times, yet the sight always regardless of the avatars- always invokes the same joy!! and that was just a small example i say!
utterly humbled yet deeply honored- the feeling here upon your kind and generous review dear friend!!

why should one ever know the answer to such beauteously felt heartfeltness...streams straight n touches in radiant rays..the questions n answers are for the minded minds ..n how refreshing it feels that minded darkness is not talked upon here...just bountiful light faith n all the goodness.. beautiful offering this one dear poet capturing the alchemy 'when you're around'
