Accidental Lives?

 


time and space by days separate,
twin like baby girls, born to different worlds,
nurtured in harmonious balance
parallel environments that mirrored until....
 
Kindergarten crossroads

a shared smile, giggles and coloring books
teddy bears, Barbies and pinky swear secrets
hallway heroines riding monorail melodies
alternating seasons, compiling in multiples until....

Social wedge ugliness

pretend new friends and grown? adults,
preconceived notions, whispered words and beliefs,
twisting putty like minds, and with time a crack,  
widened by old ways and unforgiven tales until....

Reality awareness

and the rail splits and slowly divides,
interest wanes as activities change
alternate endeavors, peer pressure, then boys,
and lives move forward, parallel in time only until....

Worlds implode

time and space in exact sync,
distracted mothers on devastation course,
free wheeling adventure of a destined? small child
into unexplored territory, solid objects collide....



Crushed and shattered dreams

tears in tragedy overflow
filling raging rivers of blame,
flooding green gardens and
drowns what beauty was left

Gypsy demons scream

traversing once tranquil houses,
where remnants of happy homes
now lay in ruin, strewn with piles of
self loathing and suffering souls





Happenstance?

high school class reunion
eyes glance, memories flood
kindergarten to calamity
the couldas, wouldas, shouldas,

 
and what ifs that wander.
