Lessons to My Younger Self
Most people say that if they could talk to themselves when they were younger, the things they would tell themselves to do.
But I’d rather tell you principals to live by than give you a bunch of rules!
First you need to change your mentality, because the reality is nothing gets easier unless your mindset is to achieve.
Stop taking the easiest path you can receive.
Hard work is a gift, it makes other things easier.
Never be afraid to work hard in life and never be a cheater!
Because when you cheat your really only cheating yourself.
It makes everything harder and it’s hard on your mental health!
Even though you’re not afraid of working hard, always first try to work smarter. You’re brain will save wear and tear on your body and your body will make you go farther!
Never rush, getting things done fast is good but rushing isn’t where speed comes from.
Doing things right the first time will be much faster in the long run!
Never be afraid to fail, but always be afraid of failure.
A small setback is not the end of the world as long as you learn from it, you’ll be better!
Get up and go to bed early at least 5 times a week.
Do some meaningful exercise in the morning so your body will be at its peak! Rest is important, never neglect your sleep.
That’s how your mind and body recovers,
And without it, your goals, you’ll never meet.
Along those lines take vacations, give yourself a break.
If life is not enjoyable, then the hard parts you’ll never take!
Make your money, don’t let your money make you.
Never live paycheck to paycheck,
don’t be a fool.
Save your money and spend it wisely,
but have some fun and sometimes be free.
Sometimes you have to be a little spontaneous.
To be uptight is insanely unjust.
Always have good credit, with people and companies.
It will allow you access to things you want, as well as the things you need.
Earn your respect and always be trustworthy.
But never give respect to those who aren’t worthy.
Never let yourself be boastful, it’s unnecessary to try to impress.
If you’re doing things the right way, others will brag on your success!
Never let someone else’s nonsense drag you down.
There’s no faster way to becoming a fool than hanging out with a clown!
Last but not least, draw close to God and He’ll draw close to you!
Always remember that His ways aren’t burdensome. He’s only looking out for you! He wants you to enjoy life in the way He originally intended.
Which is way more than we can imagine, so never get that twisted.
So I’ll leave you on that note and I hope that you can see,
I hope that this will guide you, to be a better me!
P.S. before I forget, let’s not get this lost!, take whatever money you have and invest in APPLE AND MICROSOFT!!!
