Blessing

We thought for a long time this was impossible.
He had been told by doctors it was highly unlikely,
And my family doesn't have the best track record for this sort of thing.

But not only did we get those two pink lines that wonderful day,
We're at 11 weeks now and that's amazing.

I know we aren't totally out of the danger zone yet,
But I am starting to feel more hope with each day.
Because my doctors say things are going well,
And we're almost a third of the way!

So today I lay in bed,
Feeling my small baby bump under my hand.  
Dreaming of the day I will hold my little angel,
And the excitement is almost more than I can stand.
