if you had only known
these creations
we have flown
changed from barricades
 left shown
like the
willed and weeding
cut the branches
that were
slowly receeding

i was
hunched
above
 the cloud cover
 in swollen ,
feelings
reliving  my heart's
message

and so I wrote of you
and I carried the weight
 of
your
eyes
swore to  the
skies
and died some days
inside

crept away
from the love I had known
like my flowing hair
in
golden
 sun

left remembering
 his hairy arms
hard fingers
 digging
into the lush nature
 of my fawn

these trees still know me by name
and will they
remember yours

Author's Note
A poem recently edited, from that heartbreak years ago. This was about being taken advantage of, and returning to the woodlands, and inside realizing how the forest was part of me, and the trees would take care of me.
