I Can't Forget
Slowly spinning
tighter and tighter
everyday
the blues and reds and yellows
melding
a perfect kind of way
right turns
turning out alright
leaving the lying
left to lie
in the basement
casements creak
opening up
indiscretions
long put away
the coal burns hot
still shovels sit idle
next to piles of regret
I struggle
your breath draws me
but I can't forget
tighter and tighter
everyday
the blues and reds and yellows
melding
a perfect kind of way
right turns
turning out alright
leaving the lying
left to lie
in the basement
casements creak
opening up
indiscretions
long put away
the coal burns hot
still shovels sit idle
next to piles of regret
I struggle
your breath draws me
but I can't forget
