THE RAVEN CHRIST
As the steeple drowns in the storm
I am watching from beyond the thorns
Weeping for the way that you mourn
The taste of your tears
When love dies in your hands
Sorrow in the night
Once more among the damned
Banished from the sun
As the rain seeps inside
When the shadow in the dark
Is deeper in the hell that I reside
Colder than the abyss
The poison in the kiss
The Raven Christ becomes one with screams
When grief that eats away at my dreams
The promise of salvation
Will become damnation
I will not suffer
BUT BECOME DAMNATION
Alone I face the winter breeze
As the bodies decay in the leaves
The way you say my name in grief
The taste of your fear
And flavors on your tongue
By the mournful light
And the thorns that are hung
‘Neath funeral moons
I ponder on the crime
That keeps me so enchanted
To the dying stars dwindling time
Harken back to abyss
The Absu in the kiss
The Raven Christ becomes one with screams
When grief that eats away at my dreams
The promise of salvation
Will become damnation
I will not suffer
BUT BECOME DAMNATION
become damnation
in the face of salvation
i have mourned for eons
angels and demons
have wept tears so true
but won’t weep for you
Harken back to abyss
The Absu of your kiss
Colder than the abyss
The poison in the kiss
The Raven Christ becomes one with me
When grief that eats away at my dreams
The promise of salvation
Will become damnation
I will not suffer
BUT BECOME DAMNATION
BECOMING
