In My Dreams
In My Dreams
Caught between life and dreams
Do no know what it all means
Wondering shadows with unnatural sway
Haunting my nights and undulating my days
Caught in the deep darkness unknown
Feeling effects of love that is never shown
Surrounded by deflections of the unfeeling
My future to me does not seem very appealing
I have no ears to hear anything they try to say
My eyes try to see but the darkness gets in the way
All I can hear is their low tumble muttering
Sounds like they are whispering unconscious stuttering
I wish that I could open my tightly shut blind eyes
Understand why I am a willing participant in my own demise
Skittish narrows running through long deserted fields
Dark knights fighting lifeless dragons with dented shields
Feelings of inadequacy fill up my stagnant air
Circles spinning wildly around in broken squares
I awake sweating blood from my irritated veins
With four separate thoughts quaking my brain
