Even if I stop looking into those green eyes,
turn around and never come back.
Even if I walk away and tell you lies,
turn your bright days to pitch dark black.
Remember the days we had together,
smoking cigarettes and sipping port wine.
Beaches and rains, those colours of weather,
laughter and kisses, and crossing every line.
In all those moments I gave you my soul,
that love was real and words were true.
In my heart, now I just have a hole,
bleeding, ruptured and oh so blue.
I had my reasons to walk out and leave
To break your heart and let you grieve
I hope someday you’ll be able to see
I caged myself so you could be free.
