I'm a self defeating monologue
I'm a blacksmith with tinitus
and a fire fighter with bronchitis,
I'm a hockey player with no sweat glands
and a consvertive working a news stand,
I'm a self defeating monologue
I'm an agoraphobic demagogue.
I'm a schoolbus with no children
and I'm a synt popper thinking he's still "in",
I'm like a sawmill in a suburb
and a shepard missing a sheep herd.
Im a street light shining in day light
I’m a white dove stuck in a bar fight
I’m a duck stuck in a swan pond
And I'm the forgotten brother of james bond
Im a black bear in the arctic
And I'm a bolshevik who lives in the baltics
I'm like a drawer that's never been opened
And a violist whose bow is broken
I'm a punk rocker in the sixties
An expecting father stuck in a ski lift
I'm Stevie Wonder with no hearing
and a teenage girl who ain't allowed earrings
I’m all these things, no exception
Im the past, the future the present.
All these things that I'd like to say to you
but I won't cause you don't want me to,
I wouldn't cause you won't know what just to make of it
but lord knows I sure wish that you did.
