Lifescape
I walk along the shore above
a sea that storms below.
When watching how the waves
collide with sand that dreams of snow.
How those dreams are never met
when taken far away.
When dwelling over graves
I've yet to live another day.
I wear the present like a glove
yet still I'm prone to freeze.
When breathing life begins to choke
inflicting its disease.
How the silence carries me
to somewhere I'm okay.
When reaching for a ray of light
beyond a wall of gray.
I race along the shore aligning
stars with mystery.
When watching how the sky
resides so calmly near the sea.
How the wind does carry me
so steady till I wake.
For when I'm placed upon the ground
that's when the Earth will quake.
