We Never Had A Label So This Doesn't Need A Title

You were my beautiful distraction
Let’s mend these lonely hearts with cold liquor and warm hands
Pressed into your neck, arms entangled
You only die once, so let’s enjoy this ride
Let me be your candle to drip wax and mend these broken cracks in your heart
Let me be the one to actually mean something

Forgive me for everything I have done and everything I will do

Forgive me for ghosting from your life because my heart can only ache so much for what could have been

But we knew this would happen
We knew that we would fade away
Something this taboo could not last forever, but forever is what you gave me

Every song is about you, even though I know they aren’t
My brain can’t help but try and find you in all the small details

I’m scared to sleep in case I dream of you
What torture that would be
And I can’t tell what would be worse
A dream when I hold you in my arms again
Or one where I watch you fall away, again and again
And

Again

You liked heroine but I’m addicted to love

I saw my first shooting star with you

And this Shakespearean tragedy that was our love story
Will go unwritten, unpublished
Nothing more than half guilty whispers

When you said “I love you” that was the beginning and the end of everything
Never before has that phrase knocked me so blissfully off my feet
