In the solace of the night
my thoughts flow free
a spectrum of light
elbowing on attention
to detail
where adoration
and affection submise
in the waking tranquility
of your eyes
soft kisses copied
among a thousand pages
first time offerings
begging to be read again
to be fed again
to the raging fires
in us

some very beautiful lines here JusTim.
i feel a longing in them to rediscover the moments, early moments, that brought two people together.
they say when you have been in a relationship for a while it gets comfortable and you forget about the spark so you look to the past to be reminded and rediscover and rekindle it. maybe that's not what the poem is about but it made me think of that
