All the signs point in one direction
but I don't seem to be going that way
trouble breathing  
trouble being and seeing through
all the foggy moments blown my way
 
The warm shoulder on a cold night
while I'm freezing inside
wayward thoughts running  
through a maze
lost in a haze of misdirection
and misunderstandings
 
Living in a mirror of discontent
hell bent on destruction
and interruption of every
step ever taken  
was it all mistaken
 
A dream of unreality
simplicity and longing to be
more than a smile passing by
collecting the memoirs
in my heart but never  
letting them back out
amongst the stars  
to breathe
