A Golden Hearse
When he's grown and gone away
Will he say "Thank you for making me"
Or will he regret ever knowing my name
So I'll say goodbye before you tell me to leave
All you wanted was a hug and a smile
All I wanted was to hand you the universe
All you said was "Can you come stay for a while?"
I feel so cursed living in a golden hearse
One day I'll be home and see you grown
One day I'll be there to see the man you've become
You'll run to me and say "I never want you to go"
Instead of "Daddy, are you ever coming home?"
