The ever changing myriad scenarios unrelenting
As i constantly change form and try to adapt
Like some half arsed natural selection re-inventing
As i try to get on yet feel i'm constantly lapped

“where do you want to be in five years” burned out
If i knew then the things that i know now
Did not take into consideration trauma, deception and doubt
While other derivative cliché concepts knit my brow

Lost so many cruel self indulgent fuckers along the way
In equal amounts lost folk loved yet visited betrayal
A foolish careless treatment and inevitably they no longer stay
Narcissistic base self indulgent needs set me up to fail

This is the product of every facet i assimilate
Yet my ambivalent psyche has desire
Five years sound bites and i gave up trying to anticipate
A causal casualty of ego driven friendly fire

This constant paranoia detected a cruel joke
A relationship bit into a fingertip smile
Dissonant internal monologues etched in smoke
Familiar and unfamiliar faces parade in masks so fragile

Guess i am just this corroded learning machine
These anomalies weave unending concepts
When recollections and perceptions are grubby not pristine
Transitioning into what natural selection accepts
