A fictional nap

This bright bright yellow saviors sun
sewed to my memories
a patch of warm green bladed grass
under a nameless tree
near the sloping shade

that's where nature invited me
in her unmerciful arms
and whispered to sleep
with Brahms Lullaby

trapped between cold cold concrete lines

inspired by a lone tree trapped along highway 40 in downtown Knoxville heading east where Western ave jumps on just before the old city.
