The Future Holds No Promises

The future holds no promises

Our cloaked diseases
hide within us

We appear quite affable
in our public lives

Few have seen us
clinging to the sunrise

Another day
to imagine
that each diagnosis
may find it's cure

But for now
just a landscape
we will have to endure

The future holds no promises
