Path

The path we’ve built has hit a dead end,
Now I must turn around and find a new way,
Leave you behind, it’s time for me to break,
I have say goodbye and just drive straight ahead,
And not look back so you won’t be a sight in my eyes,
I’ve been only hurting myself and been weakened by lost time,
The reason is not because I don’t love you anymore, just so you’ll know,
I’ll will always love you from my heart to my soul,
But I got to start accepting the fact I’ve ignore for a long time which is you don’t want me back,
I see that you’re happily in love and I don’t want to ruin that,
Just know, that everything I ever did for you came from my heart and more,
Every word I ever said to you was directly from my soul,
I apologize for wasting your time and any pain of mine you went through,
But the worst thing I did to you was love you,
My life’s an open book and pages get torn off or stories get changed,
But the chapter you spend in my life will always remain,
Even if you were real or not, I really don’t care,
I was fortunate to have had you whether it was a fairy tale,
Your image, touch, voice and soul are imprinted in me,
Somehow I will be able to block you from reality but never my dreams,
We will always have a part of each other into whatever we’ll do next,
You can keep me a secret or deny I ever existed but from within I’ll remain,
I will never lie if someone ask me the question if I love you still,
No matter how many times or from whom, I will always reply, “Yes, I’ll always will”,
I have learn to forgive you but I’ll never forget,
From the precious day we met to the painful way you left,
My heart is mine and I have the right to give it to whomever I want,
Even though you didn’t care for it, I give it to you, so now you have two and I have none,
My path was always you but now you’re in memory lane,
I’ll continue on a new path until one leads me into the sunset,
