Spiralling out of control,
Making you cry out for help

Stay quiet,

Stop with the small scrapes,
Start digging deeper,
Making the hole bigger and bigger until you see roots,
Until you see the beautiful minerals.

Stop eating,
You need to be smaller so the predators can’t have you,
I have claimed you as mine,

You’re not allowed to be where the monsters are,
You get to stay with me,

You can’t curl into a ball and hope I don’t see you,
