So Alike And Yet So Different
Verse 1
There once was a man named Tommy Jones
Who never had an evil thought
He just hated all those who loved him
For all the pain that love had brought
Verse 2
He once thought that love was his savior
Until he found it was Satan in disguise
Now he lives his life in hatred
And his hatred never dies
Refrain
So feel sorry for the lonely people
'Cause no one ever hears them cry
And feel sorry for the lonely people
'Cause no one cares when they die
And please pray for the lonesome people
Who sleep alone at night in bed
And please pray for the lonesome people
Who find peace only when they're dead
Verse 3
Jennifer Jones has a scar on her soul
One that will never go away
Her mind is hatred in perfection
Where no thought of love can ever stay
Verse 4
She once walked with love through the sunshine
But now she walks alone through the rain
She cries to preserve her emotion
While her anger hides the pain
Refrain
So feel sorry for the lonely people
'Cause no one ever hears them cry
And feel sorry for the lonely people
'Cause no one cares when they die
And please pray for the lonesome people
Who sleep alone at night in bed
And please pray for the lonesome people
Who find peace only when they're dead
Verse 5
They crossed paths late one night in the street
But they both looked the other way
They just keep walking through their darkness
And never hope to see another day
