Words like statues

letters and words like broken statues lie
on the incline of my mind
lodged like the dirt in someones eye
unloved like the weeping tear
Falling, failing to inspire
deleted from my repertoire
the poem that was newly formed
lifeless stillborn bare of soul
never to gather dust on its ageing text
the simple a complex mess
my world running from spell check
the laxative a bard my need
the kiss of inspiration to sew a seed
the earthquake that the brain cant feel
the fallen statues of my words
make statutes never memorable in verse
