Made In Tennessee
This bottle was made in Tennessee
It holds all the pain of you and me
Ole Jack, he told me I have nothing to fear
I guess he was wrong cause you’re not here
A devil on my left, an angel is on my right
Sometimes I pray I wasn’t blinded by the light
Never thought things would have turned out this way
Twelve steps or cold turkey, but it’s not happening today
Sad but true, I’ll be this way until I die
When that day comes please don’t cry
Cause, I can’t say where I’ll forever dwell
Maybe in the Lynchburg of heaven or the sour mash in hell
(Instrumental)
I never meant to hurt you or let you down
I don’t know if forgiveness is something that can be found
I find comfort when you say you’ll always love me
But baby the fact still remains, this bottle is made in Tennessee
Sad but true, I’ll be this way until I die
When that day comes please don’t cry
Cause, I can’t say where I’ll forever dwell
Maybe in the Lynchburg of heaven or the sour mash in hell
It holds all the pain of you and me
Ole Jack, he told me I have nothing to fear
