Overused Manipulation
You beg for sympathetic attention,
and in fear that you are truly in danger,
I fall for your overused versions of manipulation.
Developed thoughts are formed into words,
and though you seem to be responding,
all you can talk about is how much it hurts.
But I am well aware of the situation,
and how you're toying with my kindness.
After all, you've never known true appreciation.
