Heater #10
In our spiritual concussion,
leaking out amniotic fluid,
abiding by the cold, harsh reality
of two lovers torn apart.
Dextrose in a mucous membrane,
with salt water and fresh organic tea leaves;
The chemicals in my brain;
starched, pressed, remaining.
As an ocean of sulphuric acid;
begins it slow evaporation into the
principles of godhood.
I call out your name.
And as the angels descend through
atmospheric haze,
the stains of our lust
displaces the union of marriage.
We are the children of Alexander,
frosted fingers, bitten by the chill air;
holding our cell phones to an attentive ear.
