Stay On Course

No matter what it is, you've gotta stand tall through it all
Many in this evil world will prey and pray for your downfall
That's the nature of these beasts so weather the ill storms
Be strong and never allow anything to knock you off course

Of course you'll inevitably stumble and sometimes fall
Don't just lay there though; even if you've got to crawl
Ask your inner GOD to give you the intestinal fortitude to carry on
And find you a reliable ally whose shoulders you can always rest upon

We all need someone to help us keep marching to the beat of the drum
With that left, right, one, two cadence step in the direction of GOD's sun
Stepping in the name of love like the Doo Whoppers out in the CHI
Keeping your eyes on the prize illuminated by that fireball in the sky

Real talk, no lie; even I at one point strongly considered taking my own life
Our hearts get heavy at times as we frequently wipe the tears from our eyes
But we've gotta remain strong like Soldiers at war in battles that must be won
In the battlefields of life someone's relying on you to push forward with your gun
