Faces
Faces of everyone
I’ve ever met
Carved on molecules
In my brain
Nodules of images
Rush more to maintain
Memories
Of charged particle grain
Near receptors for opiates
Such as cocaine
Some laughing
Some crying
In degrees of pain
With mountains of love
Down depths of disdain
Waxing poetic
Some on the wane
Fixating on thoughts
Again and again
Just as my face goes into their train
I wonder if I will die with them
I’ve ever met
Carved on molecules
In my brain
Nodules of images
Rush more to maintain
Memories
Of charged particle grain
Near receptors for opiates
Such as cocaine
Some laughing
Some crying
In degrees of pain
With mountains of love
Down depths of disdain
Waxing poetic
Some on the wane
Fixating on thoughts
Again and again
Just as my face goes into their train
I wonder if I will die with them
