Interlude
Look at how violently
The wind-driven waves
Crash into the shore
Much as the passing years
Wear down the soul
Try to keep our heads
Above the frigid waves
But they keep lapping
And laughing
And slapping our face
Yet from the dreary clouds
The sun peeks out
Giving us hope
For better days
The wind-driven waves
Crash into the shore
Much as the passing years
Wear down the soul
Try to keep our heads
Above the frigid waves
But they keep lapping
And laughing
And slapping our face
Yet from the dreary clouds
The sun peeks out
Giving us hope
For better days
