Tabula Rasa
The difference between knowing and learning
One is innate and the other is experience
A fire within a continuity burning
Flames between significance and relevance
I know when I'm born I am me
But must still get lost to find myself
From reality to futility
In what I wish were dog years
Straying from confidence
To explicit fears
That reveal themselves
In nightmares
My future is born in my mind
Yet still must be filled out
By forgiving
Events must shape my soul
Although I am in control
As the author
Of my preordained beginning
Everything was and is as intended
But I must still make a living
As I follow forked roads
To the same destination
To only look back
At the conflagration
That once took place
Throughout history
One is innate and the other is experience
A fire within a continuity burning
Flames between significance and relevance
I know when I'm born I am me
But must still get lost to find myself
From reality to futility
In what I wish were dog years
Straying from confidence
To explicit fears
That reveal themselves
In nightmares
My future is born in my mind
Yet still must be filled out
By forgiving
Events must shape my soul
Although I am in control
As the author
Of my preordained beginning
Everything was and is as intended
But I must still make a living
As I follow forked roads
To the same destination
To only look back
At the conflagration
That once took place
Throughout history
