Background
I could love you as much as
you run away from it
I hate that it's over
And what we could've been
I miss us and I can't
Remember what it's like
To smile in bed after
Turning out the lights
I fell for you rather
Than falling fast asleep
Each day that passes
Stings like eyes dipped in chlorine
And I can't deny that
I'm breaking from your highs
Because I'm in the background and
I see smiles in your eyes
And each time you feel alright
I wish I was alright next to you
But that's selfish and unfair
I don't care; it's true
I want to share the air
All I have is this moon
And it's stupid but when I watch it
I hope maybe you're watching it too.
