A Deathly Taunt

The unborn silently scream
The dead loudly taunt
Flowers and blood
Blood and unending torment.

She thought it large
He didn’t think at all,
The cannons blew
And arrows were received.
Someone surely made an exit!
But no one knows why Love acted Foolish,
And Foolish turned to more blood
And more blood met garlic and pepper
And the stew made a grand feast

Marriage called out wildly
Making sounds as silent as the unborn
Whilst the dead still taunt
And the living still don’t know why
Answers exist before the question.
Love grew like bugs on ice,
If only bugs on ice grew at all.

The temptress became illusively exciting
But his manhood raised no flags
And made no invasions.
The challenge was a mental avalanche
Writhing with ecstatic abnormality,
A chalice of ego and melted butter.

They tried the warm and even the cold,
But they never did try,  not trying.
It was restless and painless
Until the screams of the unborn
Became the screams of the living
Whilst the dead found nothing to taunt
And the living still couldn’t figure it out.
