FROM TABLE TO BED
At the table we have been well fed,
There remains that need to meet in bed.
The wine we both drank has warmed our hearts,
Descending to the love-making parts.
The uptown girl and downtime guy
Are equalled in each other's eye.
"First we eat, then we make love", I
Share my peasant philosophy.
We feel relaxed and ready to roll
In the hay (with sheath for birth control).
It leaves me to ask this well-worn line:
"Shall we do it at your place, or mine?"
"We can put to the test theories
That the sex act burns off calories,
So let's get down to some exercise
In grip of each other's arms and thighs!"
