Lisa, Should I Play Guitar?

It's lonely in my empty room
Maybe I will build a wall
You said I'll be hearing from you soon
Do I dare hope you'll really call?
Lisa, say you will finally call

My love's imprisoned in this heart
And you can set it free for me
More than once it's been torn apart
And so I've thrown away the key
Lisa, will you help me find the key?

In my mind I have grown confused
This is as clear as I can say
My heart is true but has been used
I ask you before it falls away
Lisa, will you love me all the way?

Lisa, do you think I've gone too far?
I have been dreaming of you from afar
Am I worth your time if I play guitar
And sing my songs in a dim smoky bar?
Lisa, should I sing in a broken down bar?

Lisa, what do you want me to do?
Try to start over, if I knew where to begin?
Try to forget that my hearts been broke into?
Broke in two by feelings hidden within
In you Lisa, the key is hidden within
