A time

Memories, they come and go;
slowing you down through passing time, paining you.

Emotions flood through you.
Anger boils up, sadness overcomes;

The memories engulf you.
They close up your mind, forcing you to think of the time,
the time that you cannot change; the time you wish you could.

Yet the memories haunt you.
They scream about the day, the time, the hour, the minute, even the second that seems to freeze.

Replaying in your mind, hurting you every time.

Anxiety rushing through you.
The air is slowly leaving, your throat is swelling shut;

forcing you to remember the time that you cannot touch, the time that you cannot overcome.

The time that every time you close your eyes, flashes and plays back like a movie;
but it must be a silent film, because he didn't care when you screamed.

Nobody could hear, just your mouth moving, the words not leaving.

The time that you cannot change.
The time that you are forced to accept, and they wouldn't take it back even if they could.

Because they must not have been told,
No means no
